  3. Hi Cipherfx,

    Welcome to the forum.

The file is working very fine to me, so the problem is in your side.

Anyway, you can download the version that I upload here:

    removed

    Attention:

Always check the Digital Signature of the hotfix files from Microsoft. If these files were changed in any manner you will get an invalid signature.

    Good luck,

    Lance.

  4. Olá Vallejo,

This hotfix was superseded by KB941644.

Microsoft Security Bulletin MS08-001 – Critical

This critical security update resolves two privately reported vulnerabilities in TCP/IP processing, so I suggest that you use this latest version just to be on the safe side. Or you can wait until the SP3 PTB goes to RTM.

    Download:

Vulnerabilities in Windows TCP/IP Could Allow Remote Code Execution (941644)

Install this update using this command line:

    WindowsXP-KB941644-x86-PTB.exe /passive /overwriteoem /b:SP2QFE

  5. You can't install this hotfix in Windows XP with SP3.

If you want to modify a hotfix you have to edit the "*.inf" files. Anyway, I don't recommend this action and the Microsoft do not allow you to do this.

Try to install this hotfix in your Windows XP with SP2 and see if you fix the problem.

If the problem persists, you should analyze these tips:

1-) If the chipset in your motherboard supports USB 2.0

2-) If the entry (jack, plug, socket input) of your "case front panel" or where you are trying to connect you device is really USB 2.0 Certified.

    Why this?

    a-) If you try to connect a USB 2.0 device in a USB 1.1 plug that is working with a chipset USB 1.1, you could have transfer problems;

b-) If you try to connect a USB 2.0 device in a USB 1.1 plug that is working with a chipset USB 2.0 (many "cases" comes with a USB 1.1 jack in the front panel), you certainly will have problems.

Your problems could be related to the hardware, and not with the software.

    Best regards, ;)

    L.
