Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio
XP x64 Windows Update ask for it even if SP2 is installed...
If I remember correctly it's about 105kB in Windows update.

I installed original setup of XP x64 but I would very much like to have that update directly integrated with nLite in my Windows XP x64 source.

I know that KB888111 is only for WindowsXP x86 and that KB901105 is for x64 but this one is not possible to run in XP x64 since it is already included in SP2.

So whats the deal hear, does anyone know what kb this really is?

Hdaudbus.sys

can you tell me the version you have in your windows folder
IrfCore
I extracted hdaudbus.sys from sp2.CAB from my windows source, it's shows 5.10.1.5013 and the same is in installed windows.
zed260
suggest to me that there may be some registry changes that hotfix does that its scanning for
IrfCore
I figured that much myself, but I would like to have that update so I can integrate it in my windows source smile.gif
I always remove Automatic Updates with nLite.

I found this little sucker in
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download

named 954b73a431e3cca31ba6b43bb31a23f118e30ff2 without extension.
I added exe, but it seems it's another extension.

How can I check the extension if it isn't there?
I am able to extract with 7zip

the file is attached, unpack it...
xable
It`s a zip file, also the direct links to everything WU downloads can be found in WindowsUpdate.log in your windows folder.
IrfCore
So it's just a driver update? smile.gif

When adding .zip as an enxtension and trying to open with the built in zip tool in XP it doesn't work.

cab works, it's a cab file!
xable
Yes winrar and 7Zip are able to open and extract it.
IrfCore
I know, my point was it wasn't a zip file tongue.gif

The difference in the file is only when hdaudbus.sys is modified.

You edited your post after I replyed so I missed that.

Get yourself a copy of winrar, you won`t regret it. The windows zip tool is useless.
IrfCore
I know, I do not use it usually, cuz I always removed it in 32bit XP with nLite smile.gif
Just testing complete fresh XP x64 cuz I recently changed to x64 cuz of 4GB RAM isn't supported in 32bit XP.
I use WinRAR, 7zip and Universal Extractor mostly.

Btw, why do you use ` instead of ' which is next to enter ? smile.gif

Want to remove the file and the the correct extension and name...
xable
Edit time has always been restricted for security reasons. I have removed the file for you.
IrfCore
So were to upload it? I'm sure others want it smile.gif
xable
So you ask me to remove it and then say where to upload it! I think your just taking the piss now.

In any case we don`t host publicly available hotfix`s here. Anyone who want`s it can get it from windows update like you did.

Your issue has been resolved and the topic will be closed. If you want it open for further discussion PM me.
