mirage
Hello, i have a question. I've requested the Fix KB940199 and got 3 files from the sfx file. Windows6.0-KB940199-x86.msu Windows6.0-KB940199-x86.psf Windows6.0-KB940199-x86-EXPRESS.cab So, why do I get a cab and the psf file?
xable
the psf and cab are the express version used by windows update, they sometimes send those too. Who knows why there`s an express version of an unofficial hotfix though.

Who knows why there`s an express version of an unofficial hotfix though. hmm, perhaps MS will release this update to the public and also deploy it through WindowsUpdate. xable
ok, where can I find more infotmation about the "express versions"? When you install an update through windows update it`s these express versions it downloads. That`s what the package installer is used for, to install these "smaller" updates. Google should have plenty of info. hmm, perhaps MS will release this update to the public and also deploy it through WindowsUpdate. Posibly, though I`ve not seen it happen yet with any updates I received which included the express version.
