Hello forum,

I've had this problem ever since I first loaded Vista Ultimate 64-bit and have searched endlessly for a way to fix it. I can't use my disc drives, at all. When I insert any type of disc there is no recognition at all. If I click the drive in explorer it searches for a disc and finds nothing. Please help, I bought a new disc drive, I've reformatted several times and tried many other solutions. The only thing thats worked is one time when I reformatted the problem was fixed... for less than an hour.

Thanks a million, you'll be my hero if you can fix this problem

I hope someone knows of a fix.... this is plaguing me too. I believe the problem is in the storage controllers drives "uninstall" one of the two and the drive will become active.
