How to integrate Vista Hotfixes into the Installation DVD

Hi all,

I would like to open up a discussion on how to best slipstream Vista hotfixes into the installation source DVD. Using Windows XP this was rather easy: copying the install CD to HDD and then using the /integrate switch for each hotfix.

It appears however that MS has changed this scenerio significantly. This seems due to the fact that all Vista versions are on the DVD. The procedure seems rather complicated as outlined here: http://winbeta.org/comments.php?id=6244&am...ighlight=hotfix

A follow-up posting of this initial guide is here: http://winbeta.org/comments.php?id=6260&catid=1

Remember all I want to do is to update the Vista original DVD with the latest hotfixes, whereas some are required to be slipstreamed for certain hardware to function (e.g. ATI SB600 chipset). I search for the most easiest and convenient way. And of course it should be compliant with MS guidelines to do this.

If you have any input, ideas or experiences slipstreaming Vista hotfixes, please share them in this thread. Thx.
