Yeh thats generally the idea lol

only reason that is, is to stop some n00b accidentally deleting some system file thats currently not being used by win Vista.. such as boot up files etc..

 

still, you can disable it by going to the user account section and turning User Account Control off then rebooting, also, to view and see hidden system files simply go to folder settings and click on the "view" tab and then click "show hidden files and folders" or something along that line
