xable
You may like W2K because it`s familiar and all that, but it doesn`t have TRIM support, automatic alignment and disableing of features that are a no no on SSD`s. W7 has all that and more which is why it`s the best OS for SSD`s. W7 may look basically the same as vista on the surface but look bellow the surface and it`s far superior. Here`s a good link for you to educate yourself on W7 and SSD`s. http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/archive/2009/05/0...drives-and.aspx
McRip
Have you ever tested w2k and ssd???
xable
What`s that got to do with anything?
SpyCatcher
Running x86 RTM, Found a few bugs the testers missed, overall a very good OS. Win7 is Vista on steroids or is Vista SP3, me think MS re-branded the OS to help all the dummies save face. When are we going to get a Win7 hotfix thread? avoidz
Nope. Long-time XP user, and that won't change anytime soon. I will certainly keep an eye on Windows 7 and it's release, and then see what the reviews are and what bugs need to be fixed before considering it. And even then, I will dual-boot and keep XP.
